All important mechanical dimensions have been maintained, and full electrical and functional compatibility with the EM202 module is ensured.
The new X20X devices require less raw materials for module production. In addition, the absence of epoxy resin potting facilitates the separation of components during recycling of waste devices!
The open design of the printed circuit board ensures natural air circulation around the integrated circuit and, as a result, lower temperatures.
The combined weight of the EM203A and RJ203A modules is only 9.4 grams. This is 50% of the weight of one EM202 module.
The new family of X20X modules includes both inexpensive, ready-to-use interface converters (COM over IP solutions) and BASIC-programmable solutions based on the T1000 ASIC controller.

The X20X family of devices is divided into two types: EM modules - which include the CPU, Ethernet controller, memory and other digital circuits; modular RJ connectors with transformer-based Ethernet isolation, an RJ45 connector and a shielded housing that partially "covers" the module.

EM modules can be used with any standard Ethernet connectors (for example, the YCL-PTC1111-01G RJ45 connector with integrated transformer isolation).

Depending on the model and configuration, these devices can operate either as interface converters or as BASIC-programmable controllers.

Each module of the X20X family has several status LEDs.

RJ modules combine a standard 10/100BaseT interface and an RJ45 connector.

The unique patented design of the RJ module minimizes the required PCB area and allows you to embed other components (such as an Ethernet controller) directly underneath it.

The lightweight case, partially covering the module, provides it with better mechanical strength and good air circulation (due to the open part of the device).

The front panel of the case is translucent, which allows the user to monitor the LED indication of the Ethernet status.

Perfectly Fitted Kit

The EM and RJ modules fit together perfectly. The EM device fits directly under the RJ module, ensuring efficient use of the allocated PCB area.

In this configuration, the EM module's LEDs are located directly behind the translucent panel of the RJ device's housing. Thus, the user will be able to simultaneously monitor the status of both the RJ and EM modules.
