Nvidia plans to begin releasing Game Ready drivers for its video cards exclusively through the GeForce Experience application. To download them, you will need to register with an email.
These drivers are released before the launch of major games. They improve performance. The discontinuation of the usual distribution methods for these drivers is expected in mid-December 2015.
Nvidia representative Sean Pelletier explained to reporters that this way, casual users for whom gaming is not the most important thing on a PC will not have to deal with multiple Game Ready drivers.
Game Ready drivers are intended for enthusiast gamers. Nvidia wants to make GeForce Experience the only place to get them. This means that they will not appear on the official website and in Windows Update.
