The Danish company Prazza Group has launched a new project called Prazza Golf Ball Finder. The system was specifically designed to eliminate the most common and tedious procedure of this sport - searching for a ball.
The Praza Golf Ball Finder ball comes with an RFID chip embedded in the inner core. This chip is activated when the club contacts the ball at impact. The RFID reader with the search function can locate the ball from a distance of 100 meters; bushes and trees are not an obstacle. A puddle, however, no more than 21 centimeters deep, will also be no obstacle.
The reader, roughly the same size as an average smartphone, uses active RFID technology and beeps louder as it gets closer to the ball. A green arrow is also displayed on the screen indicating the direction in which to move.
Recently, Prazza Group was in talks with KLM Airlines regarding the global launch of the product. Starting in September, the Prazza Golf Ball Finder system will be temporarily available as a limited, exclusive business class version.
