Motorola has introduced a new tablet computer for retail enterprises, the Enterprise Tablet 1 (ET1).
The ET1 tablet was designed to improve the quality of service at the point of sale. The ET1 allows access to additional product information, inventory control, planning, and locating of products, simplifying and streamlining the sales associate's workflow, including customer service and inventory control.
The new tablet features a durable case with a removable panel that can be customized to match the company's corporate style and a 7-inch Gorilla Glass screen to protect against damage. It also features an individual access option, allowing multiple employees to share one computer. It also retains the latest data entered into the database for 15 minutes. The charging stations can accommodate four tablets at once.
The new product will go on sale in December 2011; the company has not yet disclosed the price.
