A network of vending machines creating exclusive T-shirts has opened in Malaysia. The project was created by Joy Nandy, who also created the online projects Social Network Merchandise and Social Network Cafes Sdn Bhd.

The vending machine operates in the Curve Shopping Centre in the state of Selangor. The T-shirt templates are designed specifically for social media fans, complete with all the appropriate buttons and social media jargon: "Like," "It's Complicated," "In a Relationship," and "Add as Friend." T-shirt sizes are easy to find yourself, thanks to a detailed size chart and a built-in measuring tape so you can measure yourself on the spot and find the perfect fit. Each T-shirt costs around $11. By the end of 2014, the businessman plans to create a franchise network of 500 "social" T-shirt kiosks, as well as expand into the UK and Ireland. Selling designer and exclusive T-shirts through vending machines became one of the popular business ideas of 2011.
