2.5 million Ukrainians use WebMoney

At the end of 2011, the number of Ukrainian WebMoney wallet users reached 2.5 million people. In 2010, WebMoney was used by approximately 2 million Ukrainians.

At the end of 2011, the number of Ukrainian WebMoney wallet users amounted to 2.5 million people. Moreover, in 2010, WebMoney was used by about 2 million Ukrainians.

Among the reasons for the popularity of electronic wallets, WebMoney cites the increased payment literacy of the population, and, as a result, the growing level of trust in online payments and other modern technologies.

Thus, more and more Ukrainians regularly use electronic wallets to pay for air tickets, housing and communal services, mobile communications, the Internet, taxes, and purchase goods and services online.
