Australian scientists have found an original and at the same time effective way to collect data in tropical forests. They decided to install an RFID system whose sensors will transmit data on temperature, humidity, and other important environmental factors that will help conduct research. Scientists installed such a network in Springbrook National Park, which will allow them to assess the influence of these factors on the diversity of plant and animal species. This system will radically improve environmental monitoring and provide a cost-effective way to protect and restore tropical forests that are sensitive to environmental change. This project is very important, since the life of almost half of Australia's flora and fauna species depends on the biodiversity of the tropical forest ecosystem.
