To monitor the hardening process of concrete, builders are using a new modern method. They insert active RFID tags with sensors that respond to temperature changes into the liquid solution. Engineers can use the data from these devices to determine the strength of concrete.

Sensors on the RFID tags register and record temperature information, and the active signal they emit can be read at a distance of up to 400 meters - even through a concrete wall 6 meters thick.

Using a mobile hand-held scanner, a builder can download the data for calculation and analysis to be able to determine whether to continue construction or not.

The creators want to use approximately 20,000 RFID tags during the construction of the main tower and other buildings in this complex.
