The Agricultural Bank of China uses an RFID asset tracking system to monitor cash flow across its branches and offices. The Agricultural Bank is headquartered in Beijing and has branches throughout China, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

RFID-based tag from Impinj Monza is attached to each standard cash bag. Cash is sorted, counted, and loaded into cash bags. Bank employees then record information on the tag using an RFID-reader from Impinj Monza. The platform stores information about the bag, its contents, status, and location, as well as information about the bank employee carrying the bag.

This information is also sent to a central platform designed to monitor cash bags. The bag is then transported to the bank vault, where it is scanned again by an RFID reader to record its location. After employees enter the vault to retrieve the bank's assets, the process is repeated in reverse. Hefei Jinyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. was responsible for installing the RFID system in each of the bank's branches. Currently, Agricultural Bank automatically identifies and inventories its assets to reduce error-prone processes while improving efficiency and security.
