Equipment test - MeLE F10 Deluxe

After describing several Android-Box devices, it is worth testing an Air-Mouse type controller, without which fully utilizing the capabilities of our box is not possible.

In this review, I will describe a device that combines the functions of multiple controllers: a mouse, keyboard, gamepad, and remote control.

Is it worth stocking up onMeLE F10 Deluxe, you will find out in thistest.

Package contents

The device is delivered in a small black cardboard box. Most of the packaging is matte, but about one-third of the left side is finished with a glossy varnish. In size, the packaging is only slightly larger than twice the dimensions of the remote control itself.

On the top and bottom of the box, there are photographs of both sides of the remote control as well as a description of the functions the device has. On one of the longer sides, icon-graphics with functions and supported systems are placed. The box also contains information about the manufacturer and the website address.

Upon opening the top part, we see the MeLE F10 Deluxe remote control secured with shrink wrap. Underneath it, on a cardboard partition, the device specifications are placed. After uncovering this part, we have access to the rest of the set (cable, adapter, manual).

2. USB adapter.
3. USB/Micro USB cable 0.5 m long (for charging).
4. Instruction in English.

Appearance and functions

The remote control is made of glossy black plastic. The controller is double-sided – the upper part has basic control keys, while the lower part features a practically full-fledged QWERTY keyboard.

The upper part allows control of the device to which the USB adapter or two others via infrared are connected. Functions are switched by pressing one of the 4 lower buttons. There is also a mouse function switch (Air-Mouse) – the mouse symbol above the directional pad on the left.

The lower part also allows enabling mouse control and Game Mode (gyroscope). It mainly contains keys for entering letters and additional characters (by holding the Fn key). The arrow keys are also placed here.

On the left side, there is an LED that indicates a key press (a short blink), active remote programming mode (lit for several seconds and blinking), and battery discharge (blinking). On this side, there is also a hidden button for resetting the device settings. On the right, there is a sticker with the serial number, device name, and function icons.

The front part is, of course, an infrared diode behind a "window" – like in a regular remote control.
On the underside of this model, we will find a Micro USB port for charging the device.

The remote control has the same casing as other MeLE F10 models, so although there are small holes for a speaker and microphone, these functions should not be expected here. They are reserved only for the MeLE F10 Pro.

The controller is very light and small, but fits exceptionally well in the hand. Pressing the keys is effortless – the buttons on the top are a bit harder to press, while the lower keyboard is quite soft. The remote control can be operated with one hand, without the need to change the grip position. On the lower keyboard, it is easy to enter even longer texts or navigate through application menus using the integrated arrows.
