The combo scanner body features a button that switches the scanner from multi-plane to single-line mode, which is essential when scanning the desired barcode from the available barcode menu. There is also a button to adjust the volume of the signal confirming the reading. Motorola DS 9208 is additionally equipped with a dual visual scanning indicator.

This scanner is compatible with any store or train station POS terminal. Its compact size allows it to be placed anywhere on the counter, and it is also comfortable to hold for scanning barcodes.
