Google Chrome is undoubtedly the most popular browser in the world – on both computers and mobile devices. So it should come as no surprise that the Mountain View giant is constantly improving it.
Online security is a very serious topic. For those who care about it, the Chrome beta for Android has introduced a great new feature. We're talking, of course, about a feature that notifies us when any of our login details previously saved in Chrome are leaked. To use this feature in the latest Chrome beta for Android, simply enter chrome://flags in the search bar, and then find the appropriate flag by typing password leak detection. You must, of course, enable it and restart the browser. Once you've done this, the new feature will be available in the settings under the passwords tab under the name Check password security.
The solution is enabled by default, but it requires you to be logged in to your Google account and have synchronization enabled. Of course, the feature itself isn't new, as it's been around for a long time – previously, you could install an extension for Chrome that worked the same way. What's new, however, is that data leak detection has now been built into Chrome, so more people will start using this great feature. Unfortunately, it's currently unknown when the solution will be included in the official version of the browser, but something tells me we won't have to wait much longer.
