It is a subscriber device for connecting to a VoIP network and has a wide range of functional capabilities, both telephony and network-related.
One of the unique features of this new product is its support for HD Voice (High-Definition Voice). This technology significantly enhances the quality of transmitted audio over telecommunication networks by substantially increasing the sampling frequency of the transmitted audio signal. Additionally, the ZP502 utilizes technologies like VAD (Voice Activity Detection) and CNG (Comfort Noise Generation) to ensure high-quality sound transmission. This is complemented by the full-duplex speakerphone for excellent audio quality.
The ZP502 model provides high-quality and functional service, enabling simple and fast integration into VoIP networks, as well as pre-programming for a specific operator. This is facilitated by the presence of two network interfaces (WAN and LAN), support for the SIP 2.0 protocol and related RFCs, as well as IAX2—a protocol for exchanging VoIP data between the phone and an IP-PBX Asterisk. It allows for significant savings in network traffic by transmitting signaling information in bit fields rather than text. The protocol also enables the consolidation of multiple voice streams and their transmission within a single trunk, lowering the overhead costs associated with IP packet headers.
The ZP502 supports three lines simultaneously, which allows you to switch between three different callers while keeping two of them on hold.
Unlike most IP phone models that support four codecs, the ZP502 phone supports five codecs: G.711A/u, G.7231 high/low, G.729a/b, G.722, G.726.
The ZP502 can be powered by a standard power supply or by modern PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology. This makes it possible to install the phone where a conventional outlet is not available for various reasons.
Thanks to the phone's large graphical LCD screen, all information about calls and the contact list is easily visible to the user, and the simple graphical menu is intuitive.
Simplicity of use and cost savings: The ZP502 IP phone works like a regular telephone. By using IP telephony services provided by internet service providers (SIP), you can significantly reduce costs for international and long-distance phone calls. This advantage is especially noticeable for ""expensive"" calls.
The ZP502 IP phone has a built-in Ethernet interface for connecting to a DSL modem or DSL router. You can make and receive calls directly after connecting to the internet and registering with an IP telephony provider. All subscriber numbers must be registered with the IP telephony provider or a proxy server. You will need to enter the server code, and then the phone number, with the IP telephony provider or proxy server comparing it with the destination number.
The ZP502 IP Phone can be used in local networks with the Ethernet and IP protocols. Voice will be transmitted along with data through a communication channel, and service fees are not required in this case.
