Most people working in large office buildings use magnetic stripe cards to enter work. Hotels also use cards based on RFID technology. However, many hotels and resorts are upgrading these systems with RFID-based access wristbands, which can also be used for cashless payments on-site. To keep people safe and secure, suppliers are coming up with new and innovative uses for RFID locks. Companies are currently developing a variety of uses for RFID sensors. For example, one company recently developed locks for crates used to transport goods by sea. Sensors embedded in these crates can alert owners to potential tampering. Other companies have developed digital door locks that can be used alone or with optional PIN codes. Now you'll never be locked out of your home again with RFID locks. You won't have to call a technician to replace a broken lock or lose your keys. Users simply open their doors with RFID cards or key fobs. A scanner in the lock recognizes your card's unique ID number, and you can simply enter your home. These new locks have built-in alarms and will protect your home from burglary, as they have no keyholes.
