Today, some cruise ships and amusement parks have vending machines for dispensing drinks equipped with RFID tags.. With these machines, customers can fill their own glasses and mugs without waiting for the bartender.
RFID chips are built into special tall glasses that can be purchased with the all-you-can-drink package. When such a glass is brought to the machine, the RFID reader "recognizes" it and connects it to the with a prepaid visitor's account, after which the machine will dispense a portion of a particular drink.
Regular mugs and glasses cannot be filled from such a machine, so those who do not have mugs with RFID tags will have to wait until they are served by a waiter or bartender.
