1. Traditional POS terminal

A standard system powered by external electrical power and connected to a telephone line. It can be equipped with an additional keyboard or PIN pad, which simplifies entering the card PIN code. Recommended for traditional retail outlets (REPs).

2. ADSL POS terminal

Recommended for REPs that have access to ADSL lines (via fiber optic cable and a router). The POS terminal is connected directly to the ADSL line, while the terminal's telephone connections are included in the ADSL package. This ensures a faster connection; in addition, several POS terminals can be connected to a single line. There are both standard (fixed-line) and wireless ADSL POS terminals.

3. Wireless POS terminal

Optimal in cases where mobility is required from the equipment, which allows the terminal to be used anywhere within the REP's premises. The terminal has a charging base connected to the power grid and a telephone line. Typically used in the restaurant business.

4. GPRS POS Terminal

Recommended for situations where absolute mobility is required: for example, in street trading or trade with delivery of goods/services to the client. Provides high-speed mobile transactions.

5. PC POS Terminal

• Connected to a computer, supports card transactions via a website.

• Comes with special hardware and software for switching. Necessary requirements: a computer connected to the Internet, Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, ActiveX, and a printer.
