How to Restore Android Box M8 If It Won't Boot

Sometimes after an incorrect firmware update, the Android Box no longer starts.
What to do?
If it's an iTV-M8, you can restore it using an SD card for automatic updating.
For this

  1. Download the software for preparing an SD card for automatic firmware updating (Amlogic BootcardMaker) http://drive.vensys.pl/share.cgi?ssid=09D0hhb
  2. Next, unpack the RAR archive to a folder on your computer, e.g. "C:AmLogicBootcardMaker"

  3. Download the latest version of firmware for Android Box iTV-M8, e.g. http://drive.vensys.pl/share.cgi?ssid=05TvfiT
  4. Format the SD card to FAT32
  5. Unpack the archive with the firmware onto the SD card. The files must be similar:

  6. Next, run BootcardMaker.exe, as:
  7. Click the "Choose disk" button and select your SD card. If your SD card has the letter H, then select "H"

  8. Then click the "Open" button and locate the firmware update directory, select the "uboot.bin" file and open it.

  9. Click "Make" button, then a "Success" dialog box will pop up if the operation was successful.
  10. Next copy all update files to SD card, if there are same file names, replace them.
  11. Preparing SD card for automatic update finished.
  12. Now insert the SD card into the Box, then use a toothpick and press the recovery key through the AV jack without turning off the power, like this:
  13. Next, the automatic firmware update will start and the Box will restart automatically after completion.
